Our Programs For The Youth
Sunday School
Sunday School meets almost every Sunday @ 9am!
(or as soon as possible after that)
Children age 3 through 6th grade are welcome to attend!
Please use the Google Form on our website or Facebook page to sign up your child/children (one form per child). If you have any questions, please reach out to Tina Schoenfeld or Angela Winter. You can also email them at trinityjanesvillesundayschool@gmail.com.
Confirmation information
Confirmation classes have begun! Confirmands need to sign up for Acolyte duty and do a minimum of TWO service hours per month.
Want to share your musical talent during a Wednesday night service? Any student willing to do so will get 1 hour of service for the Wednesday night they perform. Talk to Irene Mulcahey about sharing your talents.
Any 7th/8th Grader that would like to do a reading during church, may also get one hour of service. The students must talk with Pastor to get assigned a reading.
Crossfire
Crossfire is an opportunity for young adults (grades 7-12) to get together for a time of music and devotion. They meet one Sunday night a month, starting at 7:15pm. This is open to ALL youth, so feel free to invite your friends! When the first one is scheduled, this will be updated.
412 Youth
412 Youth is for 7-12th graders. They meet weekly on Sunday mornings at 9:15am. During our time together, there will be fun activities, Bible study, and discussion about future events. “412 Youth” is focused on developing Christian youth through leadership, service to the community, and fellowship in the Word of God. We’ll also have “big” activities (outside of our morning Bible study) for Sr. High Youth (grades 9-12) and for Jr. High Youth (grades 6-8)- or both- scheduled every month or so.
The Youth Advisory Team is comprised of youth and adult leaders (with Elder support) who oversee the planning and coordination of the group.
The Underground service
The Underground Service is around here somewhere.
Will you be able to find it... before you are arrested?
The Underground Service is a game, in which kids re-enact what is was like for Christians in the early church as they attempted to gather for worship. Going to church was illegal; and those who were caught trying faced imprisonment, torture or death. Yet, they so desperately wanted to hear God’s Word- and share in the fellowship of the saints- that they were willing to risk it all for the chance to worship their Lord, Jesus Christ. They snuck into the city and searched the darkened passage-ways for clues, hoping to find this secret service.
For this game, you will begin in the parking lot (the area outside the city) and try to find a way into the city (the school building). If you succeed in getting into the city, you still must sneak through the hallways in search of the secret worship service. Trying to stop you will be Roman guards, who will imprison you if they catch you. Once in prison you will be interrogated. After that, you may be tortured, set free or… executed.
Would you have what it takes to be a Christian under these circumstances? Would you have been able to face martyrdom… or would you have denied the faith? There’s only one way to find out! Come test yourself at The Underground Service!
